Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences

Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences are one of the ways we can strengthen the partnership between home and school.

While Carmel College staff and parents are encouraged to have regular communication, we believe that face-to-face communication helps strengthen these critical relationships, which ultimately aids the best possible learning and achievement for students. We strongly urge students to accompany their parents to these conferences to take ownership for their learning, and allow for a collaborative approach in identifying and reflecting upon their strengths and areas for improvement.

The College conducts Student-Parent-Teacher conferences on two evenings of successive weeks (eg Wednesday one week and Tuesday of the following week) from 3.30 pm to 7.00pm. These conferences occur early in Terms 2 and 3. All interviews will be of ten minutes duration.

If you are unable to attend this evening but would like to make an alternative time to speak with any of your child’s teachers, please do not hesitate to ring or email the College, or use the College's Parent Portal to access the details of teachers you wish to talk to.
